A message from Reverend Alison
As my tenure at All Saints draws to a close, I want to take a moment to thank you.
Thank you for upholding the vital ministry of All Saints.
Your time, your generosity, and your compassion help care for the people most often overlooked in our city.
In Toronto today, the median age at death of someone experiencing homelessness is 50 years for men and 36 for women. These are not just numbers: they are neighbours, friends, and loved ones, gone far too soon.
Last week, I reminded our staff that while we grieve many losses in our community, we would grieve even more if All Saints were not here. Through overlapping crises — homelessness, a poisoned drug supply, and the continued effects of COVID-19— All Saints has remained a place of shelter, dignity, and survival.
Now, the need is growing.
With the recent closures of supervised consumption sites in Ontario, those already on the margins face even greater risk. In response, and with support from the Toronto Urban Health Fund, we’re expanding our harm reduction outreach—bringing mobile care, safety checks, supplies, and referrals directly to those most in need.
Spring reminds us that life can return, even in the darkest places.
Your support brings that possibility closer.
Because of you, someone will make it through the night.
Because of you, there is still hope.
Thank you for your steadfast care, your compassion, and your courage.
With deep gratitude,
Alison+
