CCL Sunday Celebration

"How to be Free to Be a Spiritual Me"

Last week Doti talked about "From the Chaos of Everyday Life". She was delighted when some of the Zoomers added their personal views and shared how they had been finding solace during the Chaos.

This week Rev. Doti will discuss "How to be Free to Be a Spiritual Me". Please join us this Sunday at 10:00 on Zoom or in person at the Boon/Whitacre residence and share some of the ways you stay Authentically Spiritual.

Freedom

* "Freedom is living your life as you want to live it." Pope John Paul II 1920-2005

* "Freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought." Harry Browne

* Freedom means self-control; no more, no less." Rose Wilder Lane

* When we are no longer able to change a situation - we are challenged to change ourselves. Viktor E. Frankl

* Everything can be taken from us but one thing: the last of human freedoms - to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.

Viktor E. Frankl

Viktor Emil Frankl (26 March 1905–2 September 1997) was an Austrian psychiatrist and neurologist, a Holocaust survivor, and the founder of logotherapy—a school of therapy centered around meaning creation, considered the Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy. A central tenet of Frankl’s theory is the concept of noö-dynamics (Frankl, 2014) which helps to explain the relationship between Frankl’s chaotic external world and his search for meaning within the chaos. This study aims to explore how Frankl made sense of his world and ultimately how he found meaning during his time in the concentration camps, between 1942 and 1945. More specifically, this psychobiographical case study explores—through the lens of Frankl’s concept of noö-dynamics—the strategies he employed in the concentration camps to find purpose and create meaning. Rev. Joan's - Money Sense

If money is a mystery to you, as it was to me for many years, plan on joining the October Money Sense class on zoom. Inspired by J. L. Collins book, A Simple Path to Wealth and How Rich People Think by Steven Siebold. Do you know how to make your money grow for you? Four classes. $125 reduced to $83 for CCL members. Rev. Joan - joanstutes@gmail.com -- 408-806-7230.

NEW CLASS STARTING this Thursday

Revs. Doti and Corky logged into the Introduction for this series and found it very interesting. The information is sound and necessary as it seems money management changes as all the time. Rev. Joan has worked in finance for years and has an excellent foundation from which to teach.
