Last Week's Service

20240915 Spirit Guides Rev. Doti, Janet Childs, and Sean Imler

Rev Doti would like to thank all of the CCL Sunday attendees and participants at last Sunday’s CCL Sunday Celebration service on Zoom. Our wonderful musicians, Rev. Dr. Janet Childs, and Sean Imler were magnificent. Thank you, Janet, for the lovely meditation and Sean for the amazing drumming and calling in the Directions in the Lakota way.

This Sunday's Service

This Week's

CCL Sunday Celebration

I chose today’s topic intentionally. I feel we all need some shelter from the current chaos in the world. It is everywhere; it’s what we are reading, hearing and watching on television more and more divisiveness. This is not just by the press and the newscasters; it is between family members, folks of the same religion, nationality, and race. How do we remain peaceful and keep our light shining?

CCL Board of Trustee meeting starts at 1:00, open to the public on Zoom. Same Zoom link as Sunday Celebration:

Words for Peace

Peace Sayings by Mahatma Ghandi

“Each has to find their peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances.”

“When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator.”

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”

“Anger is the enemy of non-violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up.”

“Non-violence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man.”

“My religion is based on truth and non-violence. Truth is my God. Non-violence is the means of realizing Him.”

“Honest disagreement is often a good sign of progress.”
