Who prayed the first prayer? What was the first prayer? Outstretched arms, a human sigh, a cry, a soulful sound, a tear, a chant?
A prayer usually begins with a need, but there are times when a longing initiates our prayer. We are convinced we pray, but perhaps it is God that prays, or perhaps the first prayer is not our longing, but God’s longing.
Come with me to an uncharted land, and we will explore these questions, and let them lead us to the understanding that prayer is like sitting in the dark waiting for the sun to rise. See you soon as we gather on Sunday, May 18th at Unity Church of the Mountains where the light always shines.
