2021 Air Force Marathon Finisher Medals
|

In celebration of the 25th Annual Air Force Marathon we wanted to share the 2021 finisher medal designs with you! Each finisher medal will portray the four featured aircraft; A-10 Thunderbolt II, B-2 Spirit, C-17 Globemaster III, F-35 Lightning II and will increase in size based on the miles you put in. Join us the third weekend in September at the start line on the grounds of the National Museum of the United States Air Force where you will then finish your race on the historic flight line under the wings of vintage aircraft.

There is still time to register for the Fly! Fight! Win! Challenge Series! To complete the challenge you must run the 5K, 10K*, and half marathon or the 5K, 10K*, and marathon. All registered participants will receive a Fly! Fight! Win! Challenge race shirt, a virtual goodie bag, an optional complimentary commemorative patch, and unique medal rack. All finishers will receive a medal for each race completed, a fourth Challenge spinning medal (if all three races have been completed), a finisher’s gift after the half marathon or marathon, and finish line refreshments. *Must be able to complete the 10K in one hour or less (9:41) pace in order to start the half marathon or marathon on time.

Tailwind Trot 1K Kids' Run

Do your kids like to run? Check out this upbeat and fun video to get your kids (& you) pumped for the 2021 Tailwind Trot!
Sign your little ones up for the Tailwind Trot today and they will receive their very own race bib and race shirt. Every Tailwind Trot finisher will also receive a dog tag after they cross the finish line which they will proudly wear!

Race Transfer Information
Are you registered for a 2021 event and now want to transfer to a different event distance? Follow the instructions below to transfer into your new distance.
1. Visit your participant dashboard and sign in to your Race Roster account using the same email you registered with.
2. Select "Transfer" and then select "Transfer to new sub event".
3. Choose the new event you would like to transfer to in the dropdown and click "Start transfer".
4. Continue to move through the registration questions.
5. If you purchased additional products during your original registration, be sure to select them again when filling out your new registration. Your original payment will carry over.
6. Finish the registration process and you will then receive a confirmation email confirming your transfer.
The cost for all race transfers is the difference between the price you originally paid and the current price of the distance you're transferring into. If you're transferring into a distance that costs less than what you already paid, you will not be refunded the price difference.

Blue Mile: Honor the Fallen
We are proud to announce the return of the wear blue mile at the 25th annual event on September 18th. Dubbed the most patriotic mile, this stretch along the marathon and half marathon course honors the service and sacrifice of the American military.

Lower Extremity Amputee Running Clinic
Back for the second year, registration for the free Lower Extremity Amputee Running Clinic is now open. Featuring Paralympic gold medalist, Grace Norman, and Optimus Prosthetics, this free clinic focuses on basics and performance for lower extremity amputees wanting to improve their running skills.
Grace Norman will provide instruction for experienced amputee runners who want to improve their technique and Andrea Kinsinger from Optimus Prosthetics will provide training for those interested in beginning to run. In addition, Kendra Herber, amputee, author, model, and triathlete will also be at the clinic. Register & learn more here.

Racing Towards Responsibility
|
In an effort to improve our Green Program the Air Force Marathon has adopted a portion of Kauffman Avenue which is part of the marathon course.
Organized clean ups will be scheduled several times throughout the year and will be open to the public. Sign up here to receive information about upcoming volunteer opportunities.

The 25th Annual Air Force Marathon, presented by Northrop Grumman, USAA, and Boeing is scheduled for Saturday, September 18th, 2021. The Health & Fitness Expo is scheduled for Thursday, September 16th and Friday, September 17th. Race weekend will also feature a Breakfast of Champions and Gourmet Pasta Dinner on Friday, September 17th. Don't miss out on the Air Force Marathon After Party scheduled for Saturday, September 18th too!
