Content-Driven Revenue Solutions
|
The first package in the new America's Newspapers program to help members generate advertising revenue will be available tomorrow. Rates begin at just $110 and are based on your newspaper's circulation.
We are partnering with the award-winning team at Content That Works to provide members the opportunity to launch high-quality and advertiser-ready content packages in their markets. Each month, there will be a new content package delivered on a highly relevant and sellable topic.
These content packages are fresh and produced by professional journalists. Up-to-date and new with each release, the stories are never sponsored or considered “advertorial.” You can customize the content to publish however you please — whether it’s for feature content in ROP print, digital or as a standalone section. Run the content all at once or over several weeks; the choice is up to you.
The July package will focus on home improvement and remodeling — perfect to advertise local hardware, paint and landscaping, as well as contractors and other segments.
Topics will include: mapping out your renovation plans, today's top tile styles, staying on budget during your remodel and more!

General Manager
Ironton Publications
Ironton, Ohio
Years in the Industry: 16 years
Previous Experience: I started out typing legal notices then gained experience in the advertising, news, accounting and circulation departments. In addition, I’ve designed pages, caught papers off of the press and distributed our products. It’s important to understand each department and how they intertwine in order to put out the best possible products as seamlessly as we can.
What I like most about my job: My favorite part of the job is also one of our duties — keeping our communities informed and telling the stories of the folks who decide to call it home. We are the ones who show up to council meetings, photograph moments of glory in high school sports, share the excitement of a new business owner. Being trusted to help tell those stories is something to be proud of.
What's the greatest opportunity for newspapers in the future? Our biggest opportunity is to become even better community partners. We will continue telling the stories of our neighbors, and do so through more platforms than ever. We will help local businesses formulate their marketing plans while providing the most diverse services in our history. We will participate in and host events that help make our communities better places to live, work and play. We will continue being invaluable to our communities.

Can you help us judge this year's Carmage Walls Commentary entries?
|
Volunteers are needed to help judge the entries for this year's Carmage Walls Commentary Prize.
This award recognizes outstanding commentary on local issues.
We are seeking publishers, newsroom editors or reporters, editorial page editors or writers, columnists and journalism educators to help evaluate the entries.
If you volunteer, you will be asked to review six to nine entry packets. Each entry packet contains one to six editorials. This means you will be reviewing between 33 and 40 editorials in total with a month to look through the entries.
