Review our draft Economic Development Strategy and tell us what you think
Join us at our open house
Thursday, May 16, 5-7 p.m. at Town Hall
We're excited to share with you a draft of the town's new Economic Development Strategy (2019-2024). Our goal is to develop a strategy that truly reflects the needs and opportunities facing the Oakville business community.

The new strategy's vision, to be the best place to work in Canada, is an aspiration for economic growth in support of new company investment, existing company growth, and employment opportunities for Oakville residents. The vision builds on the Town of Oakville's vision to be the most livable town in Canada.

We encourage you to get involved.  Review the draft strategy online and drop by our open house on May 16 to learn more and share your thoughts with staff.
Upcoming events and other information
Celebrating trees

This week we celebrated Arbor Week and kicked off tree planting season with the planting of eight new trees at Josef Petriska Forest in south Oakville. This year, the Town of Oakville will plant 35,000 trees and shrubs on town land to help increase our community's tree canopy. You can help. Visit our PLANT! page and add trees you've planted on you property to the town's tree counter. Every tree counts!
