Sunday, February 23 // 12:30 pm // Special guest speaker, historian Jane Calvert, will be providing a historical reflection on Thomas Jefferson's views on race and slavery. As we navigate the conversation around choosing a new name for the church, this will provide an important perspective on Jefferson. The presentation will also be livestreamed. Watch Link


Community FUN!draising Auction - One more week to donate!

Our annual online silent auction raises funds while providing the opportunity for connection through JUCer hosted parties, events, and other fun social activities throughout the year. 2025 Men’s Retreat Lottery

JUC Men’s Retreat at YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch // April 25 - 27 // JUC Men will gather for a weekend to connect, rest, grow and learn together. Cost is $150/per person with scholarships available. Space is Limited. Registration will be held by lottery, and is open from Wednesday, February 12 - Wednesday, March 5. 2025 Summer Camp Lottery

JUC Summer FUUN Camp! August 11 -15 // 9 am to 3 pm // for 6-12 year olds

Join other JUC kids for a week of summer fun, UU style! The cost is $200/camper for members, $250/camper for non-members. Campers will be selected by lottery (by family). The lottery will close on Friday, February 14, and families will be notified by Tuesday, February 18. Sign Up

  • Yoga As You Are: A Spiritual Practice // 2 - 3 pm // 2nd, 4th, & 5th Thursdays // chapel // This class is open to people of all abilities and levels of experience.   • Abundant Harvest Table // 10 am and 12 pm // south commons // Nourish your body after worship each Sunday with healthy, delicious food lovingly prepared by fellow JUCers. Donations collected benefit Arvada Rising's Homeless Ministry. Volunteers are always needed to prepare food and staff the table. Sign Up


  • JUC Community Action Network (CAN) meeting // 12:45 pm // online // JUC CAN works on issues of affordable housing and the unsheltered with a racial justice lens. Give us your input as we plan our activities for 2025, including upcoming legislation, housing issues and a response to the unsheltered this winter. Meeting Link



  • Mindfulness Meditation // 5 - 6:30 pm // online // The Mindfulness Meditation group will not have its usual Zoom meeting but will instead join the UU Buddhist Fellowship quarterly Zoom meeting from 5-6:30 pm. Anyone interested should email Tina Voelker for more information.

  • Drumming Circle // 2:30 - 4 pm // third Thursdays // Join fellow JUCers for an afternoon of ecstatic drumming, and possibly dancing. No drumming experience required, no age or physical limits. Bring a hand drum if you have one, but we also have extra drums and other instruments to share. Dancers are always welcome! Contact: Bill Barr


  • We Are Parents + kids // 5:30 - 7:30 pm // We Are Parents this month will be led by Zack Schreiner. Bring the whole family and eat together. Then, while children go to choir or childcare, parents attend programming designed to help them connect with themselves and each other. Suggested donation for food is $20/family $5/individual. Humanists Move America: How & Why Humanist Ideas Power America Now

Saturday, February 22 // 4:30 - 7 pm // A Moderated Town Hall with Public Q&A, led by Fish Stark, Executive Director of the American Humanist Association (AHA). The location is the Secular Hub, 254 N. Knox Court in Denver. Submit your questions for Fish before the Town Hall begins. Doors open at 4:30 pm. Town Hall starts at 5 pm and ends at 6 pm. BYOB Happy Hour mix & mingle until 7 pm.


Conversation with Fish Stark

Sunday, February 23 // 4 - 6 pm // "How will Fish and the AHA work to protect our separation of church and state in the fight for the rights of all? How can Jefferson Humanists and our communities work with AHA and other organizations?" The location is Jefferson Unitarian Church. We gather at 4 pm, with the presentation at 4:30 pm, followed by open Q&A. Join us for beverages (donation suggested) and, if you wish, bring a dessert to share. The event is sponsored by Jefferson Humanists (JH). JH and Secular Hub are chapters of AHA.
