Progression to date: we are excited to annouce that we have rebranded the Community awards. The Chamber will host the "Pinnacle of Business Excellence Awards", on Thursday October 24, 2024. The Pinnacle of Business Excellence Awards is a prestigious program that recognizes outstanding achievements and excellence in various business sectors. These awards celebrate organizations that have demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation, and leadership in their respective fields.

The Summer Company Program, proudly funded by the Government of Ontario, is designed to inspire and empower students as they dive into the exciting world of entrepreneurship. Through comprehensive training, personalized mentorship, and grants, this program provides the perfect platform for young innovators to explore their business ideas and turn them into reality.

With 20+ dedicated entrepreneurs fast-tracking development of their business, marketing, and financial plans during the training, the following individuals successfully earned grant awards totalling $42,000:

Tyler Armstrong of Pinnacle Haven Farms located in the Township of Horton; Maria Arvizu of Salsa Sabor a Mexico located in the Head, Clara & Maria Municipality; Tyson Bromley of Bromley Acres Wagyu located in the Township of Laurentian Valley; Zuzana Keslerova of Kesler Architect located in the Township of McNab/Braeside; Hani Morsi of Montu Canada located in Arnprior Arnprior Life; Alyssa Pearce of Barron Canyon Coffee & Tea Co. located in the Town of Petawawa; Shawna Plotz of Bloom Wildly located in the Township of Bonnechere Valley; Noelle Shangraw of Ottawa Valley Sports located in the Town of Petawawa; Tauney Stinson of Forager Bee located in the Town of Renfrew; and Bronwyn Wearring of White Forest Farm located in the Township of Whitewater Region.

Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation (RCCFDC) is excited to announce that it has received a $50,000 grant from the province’s Francophone Community Grants Program. This funding will support the creation of 10 new full-time Francophone jobs in Renfrew County.
