Looking forward to the beauty of the desert during this seasonal shift, but I've already gathered leaves from my favorite tree, the first to hint of fall.
Sassafras leaves are easy to spot amidst other leaves still green.
Most curious is that 3 different shapes of leaves are on one tree:
the crescent
three fingers (representing the maiden, the mother, and the crone)
the mitten!
I've used the essential oil in custom perfumes, soaps, and a hint in Beyond Shampoo for that nuance extrordinaire, but I had never seen the tree before. I'm so happy that we finally met!
