Dear Friends,
I am using a great new format for 2017. This newsletter contains guests and information happening in the first half of the month. My column will always be in the first newsletter of the month. I will send you the second half of the month newsletter around the 15th. This way, it's shorter, and you get the most current information now!
However, the entire newsletter for the whole month is on my homepage, if you'd like a sneak preview. www.patriciaraskin.com
Happy New Year!

Enjoying the Winter Months
The cold weather is upon us and this becomes an challenge , particularly for those of us who thrive on outdoor warm weather activities.
Here are some suggestions to warm up your heart and and add fun to the cold:
•find a great fireplace and enjoy watching the flames of the fire
•get a cup of hot cocoa of tea, wrap up in a blanket, and call an old friend
•find a new interest or play a game online
•clean out the old to bring in the new…clean out a drawer or closet
•participate in a dance, yoga or exercise video
•send e-mails or handwritten notes to special people in your life
•if weather permits, go to the gym or walk on the beach
During snowstorms, I have gone outside and cleaned off my car several times as the snow falls. It energizes me and I enjoy watching the snow fall.
This excerpt from Ecclesiastes 3:18 that I included in my book Pathfinding, sums it up.
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; … A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; …..A time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; …A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew….A time to keep silence, and a time to speak…”
