Help Shape a Better Miami-Dade for Women; Take Survey!

The HER Miami Survey, led by YWCA South Florida and FIU’s Jorge M. Pérez Metropolitan Center, aims to better understand the experiences and challenges women face in our community. Your voice matters—your feedback will help inform services, policies, and opportunities that support women across the county. The survey is confidential and takes just 10 minutes to complete.


In September 2024, The Children’s Trust awarded YWCA South Florida an innovation grant to begin conceptualizing the development of HER Miami, a project aimed at improving gender-focused information and resources for women. The end goal of this work is to create a centralized platform that brings together opportunity, community, and support to ensure all women and their families can improve their lives in an accessible, coordinated, and simple manner.

The Children's Trust Leadership Academy 2025-26 Application Open!

Join Leadership Academy, a 9-month program that includes live subject matter expert-designed sessions, peer groups and 360-degree assessment! This week, we are highlighting FL Academy, a preschool with over 30 years of experience offering bilingual childhood education services for for children ranging from six weeks to 10 years of age emphasizing exploration and development in an enriching and nurturing environment. Their main focus is to provide an educational experience that allows each and every child the opportunity to develop and grow, socially, physically, cognitively, and emotionally. Knight Foundation: Knight Art + Tech Expansion Fund

The Knight Art + Tech Expansion Fund aims to support artists and arts organizations in Knight communities by providing them with the necessary tools to expand the use of technology in their work and engage audiences in innovative ways. Nasdaq Foundation Grant Program for Under-Resourced Communities

Driven by Nasdaq’s Purpose to advance economic progress for all, the Nasdaq Foundation works with organizations that promote & support under-resourced communities by reimagining investor engagement and equipping communities with the financial knowledge needed to share in the wealth that markets create. The Quarterly Grant Program allows it to move nimbly to fund & help scale programs that align with the Foundation's mission. Deadline to apply is August 1. Apply below:

NEXT for Autism Grant Cycle

Through its grants program, NEXT for AUTISM empowers autistic-led and community-based initiatives to create meaningful change in four focus areas:


  • Work: Enhancing employment opportunities for autistic adults.
  • Home: Improving living environments for autistic individuals.
  • Social Engagement: Fostering connections, friendships, and community integration.
  • Health & Well-being: Promoting access to healthcare, mental health support, and wellness resources for autistic individuals.


First-time grantees may apply for up to $10,000, while returning grantees are eligible to request up to $25,000. Grant application deadline is July 27.

Hunger to Health Collaboratory Prizes for Innovation

Recognizing innovative and systemic food and nutrition programs advancing youth health equity in the U.S., the Hunger to Health Collaboratory (H2HC) is calling for applications for its 2025 Prizes for Innovation. It will award two (2) $100,000 prizes to organizations advancing health equity in America for youth through food and nutrition policy change. New this year, in collaboration with Newman’s Own Foundation, it will also award four (4) $25,000 prizes to organizations working in nutrition education and school food and Indigenous food justice for youth. Deadline to apply is July 1.

Performing Arts Funding Grant Program

ETC supports the arts throughout the United States by awarding cash grants to non-profit performance groups. Grants are modest and limited to a maximum of $5,000 in order to distribute funding to a greater number of worthy organizations. Preference is given to organizations producing their own work rather than to hosting venues. Applying and meeting qualifications does not guarantee an award. The Committee typically receives many more applications than can be funded. ETC may partially fund any application at its discretion.


Eligibility Requirements:

To apply for funding, applicants must be based in the United States and meet one of the following:

A 501(c)(3) non-profit residing in the United States. Accredited public or private school/university residing in the United States. Federal, state, or local government as defined in section 170 (c) of the IRS service code. Deadline to apply is August 31. For more information and to apply click below:

Morgan Stanley Alliance for Children’s Mental Health Grants

The Morgan Stanley Alliance for Children’s Mental Health was created to address a serious and growing problem for the next generation. With the Innovation Awards, we hope to further this goal by identifying and advancing new, impactful ways to help address mental illness in children and young adults.


This initiative invites U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charities with an annual total revenue under $5 million to submit innovative ideas for advancing children’s mental health. There are two award categories: the Innovation Awards ($100,000 each) which are open to all, and the Next Gen Innovation Awards ($25,000 - $50,000 each) which are open to nonprofits founded and/or led by leaders under 32 years old, with more than two years in operation. Up to $550,000 in grants are provided and select applicants are invited to join the Leadership Learning Series. Deadline to apply is July 7.

Transform at Student's Future by Becoming an SEO Mentor

SEO Scholars is a free, eight-year, academic program that transforms public high school students into college graduates. SEO Scholars successfully educates and mentors students to and through college. 100% of Scholars are accepted into four-year colleges, 85% of Scholars graduate with a Bachelor’s degree, and 80% are first-generation college graduates. 


The goal of our Mentor Program is to ensure each of our scholars becomes a competitive college applicant and confident aspiring professional. It matches small groups of 10th grade scholars (3-4) with a mentor to get the guidance and tools needed to help them throughout this exploratory year. Mentors will support their students with (1) career-building skills, (2) college and career exploration, and (3) building their network. They are looking for mentors from the Miami area to support a dedicated and hardworking Scholar throughout their 10th-grade year.

Applications for NOVO Awards for Nonprofit Organizations Now Open

The NOVO Awards are open to not-for-profit organizations and recognize programs and individuals that

have made a difference in the lives of the people they serve, produce outcomes that exemplify innovative

excellence and feature best practices of not-for-profit businesses.


Awards are presented in three categories:

  • Nonprofit program innovative excellence in an organization with a budget of less than $2 Million
  • Nonprofit program innovative excellence in an organization with a budget of more than $2 Million
  • Outstanding Board Leader that exemplifies the best in nonprofit board service


Eligibility Requirements:

  • The organization must be headquartered or have operations in Miami-Dade County.
  • The organization must be a registered 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization and in business for at least two (2) years.
  • Past winners are eligible to reapply after a three-year wait.
  • Only applications that meet all the requirements and criteria will be considered.

Impact Fund Grant Awards for Legal Support for Social Justice

The Impact Fund awards recoverable grants to legal services nonprofits, private attorneys, and small law firms who seek to confront economic, environmental, racial, and social injustice. Since its founding in 1992, the Impact Fund has made more than 800 recoverable grants totaling more than $10 million for impact litigation. It awards grants four times per year, most within the range of $10,000 to $50,000. Deadline to apply is July 8. For more information and to apply, click below:

Levitt Foundation Levitt Music Series Grants Available

Applications for the 2026-2028 Levitt Music Series Grants are open through June 30. U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits are eligible to receive a three-year matching grant of up to $40K/year (up to $120K total) to bring 7-10 free concerts to your community each year!

Bank of America Charitable Foundation Grants For Financial Wellness

The purpose of this Bank of America Charitable Foundation Grants are to provide support for local organizations to help improve people’s financial wellness and meet community needs. Eligibility is limited to organizations that are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, not classified as a private foundation and not operating through a fiscal agent or sponsor. Deadline date is June 30.

Don't Forget to Apply for the 2025 Eyes On Your Mission Free Video Grant

The 2025 Eyes On Your Mission (EOYM) Annual Video Grant applications open on May 16. The grant provides nonprofits with a free video production and visual storytelling promotional package. This package includes: communications strategy, videos, still photos and social media content. 


Grants have been awarded to selected nonprofits that exhibit innovation, creativity, and future-thinking. The grant is international, multi-lingual and considers a diverse range of causes and organizations. The organization that sponsors the grant is headquartered in Miami and Chicago, however, any NGO globally is eligible and invited to apply. They encourage previous applicants to apply again with fresh updated ideas.

Change the Life of a Child in Foster Care; Serve on a Citizen Review Panel

Florida Foster Care Review (FFCR) advances the safety, stability and success of youth and young adults involved in Miami-Dade’s dependency system by connecting them to essential services, healthy relationships and forever families. UM Pediatrics Department Seeking Certified Medical Assistant *

The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a full-time medical assistant 3 to work in the Multi-Specialty Pediatric Clinic(s). The medical assistant 3 (MA 3) will perform multi-skilled tasks to assist the medical providers. The MA 3 shall assist patients’ health care management and clinical procedures in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service. The MA 3 provides hands-on care to patients while adhering to regulatory requirements, standards of care, and institutional policies and procedures, under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician. The physician in charge may delegate the tasks to oversee the MA 3 to a Nurse or Designee in charge of the unit/clinic. The MA 3 shall adhere to ethical and legal standards of professional practice, recognize, respond to emergencies, and demonstrate professionalism. The MA 3 provides care within the philosophy, mission, vision, and values, as well as within the policies and procedures of the Department of Nursing and the University of Miami. As a professional, monitors the quality of care provided and nurtures a compassionate and healing environment. The MA 3 works directly with the Nurse Manager/Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse and/or the Designee in charge of the Unit or Clinic to ensure a safe delivery of care that supports the UHealth mission.

Richmond Perrine Optimist Club Parenting Specialist Position *

The Richmond Perrine Optimist Club is seeking a Parenting Support Specialist to provide guidance to parents of children ages 0–18 using the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum (materials provided). This role includes facilitating groups, recruiting participants, managing a caseload, conducting needs assessments, and offering supportive services. Strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and reliable transportation are required. A bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and group facilitation experience are preferred. Must pass a DCF background check. Full-time position with weekday hours and flexibility of schedule. Annual salary is $34,000, with health and dental benefits available.
