Jerry, Rick, Charlie, Sean, Susan and Lisa (The Seelig+Cussigh HCO LLC [“SC”] team) have worked with many of you in your facility or town over the past 10 years to monitor, manage, and reinvent the work of health-care providers. In hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, community clinics, health plans, and other health-care settings, we managed and/or monitored–often in places where something went wrong.
Now more than ever, you are inundated with health-care news and noise. The SC team can be your friendly curator—to sift the essential from the confusing and sometimes painful barrage of plague and practice headlines. First, we reimagined the SC web site to better connect our friends and clients.
Starting with this email, we formalize what our team and Jerry have been doing all along, sending articles and reports that provide information you need today. We want to provide a succinct roundup of the best writing that can move you to reach out of your home office to a colleague or client and/or push your team to engage in something that must be done. To inform your practice, Revitalize will move the news you need off your desks, nightstands, or devices to the top of your list. SC and our partners (Agile 6, David Hoffman & Associates, Resolute Commercial Services), will keep you up to date with the rules, regulations, and funding that shape the field. Revitalize will be curated for you.
Less than three months ago, SC teams were in the room with health-care providers. On site, our experience of passing the meds, stocking the inventory, balancing the books, sitting in the administrator’s seat and so many other jobs let us respond to your concerns, questions, and insights.
Sadly, like many of you, we are not and cannot be face-to-face. Since March 16, we have been at home. Unlike last year, we cannot be in Dallas-Fort Worth, Dayton, Denver, San Antonio, Rocky Mount, Wilmington, Shreveport, Merced, Phoenix, Pasadena and the many great cities and towns a drive or flight away. Today, and perhaps for many days, there will be no rounding, reviewing in-person records, inspecting equipment and supplies, watching the choreography of the ER, and the dance class at the SNF’s Activities Room. We miss listening and learning at the local best-place to have an early breakfast, a latte, or escaping it all with plates of food and glasses of wine.
Most of us are out of the rooms and spaces where our work was done, those spaces and faces are now limited to Zoom, Court Call, and other online platforms. Revitalize will be shaped by the expertise learned from our past work, the challenges we all face today, and this new reality of connecting digitally.
We will adapt and work together in our online spaces to build an informed view of what our work-settings will be and how our practices will evolve to meet these new realities. Revitalize and our companion @thepcos.com will enable you to imagine and reimagine the office, the courtroom, the hallway, the lab, the ER, the Activities Room, and other places that we will return to.
