"The Best of the 2nd Dominican Film Festival in New York" at the United Palace
Presented by Cine Art Entertainment Productions and Toyota of Manhattan
New York, NY--Due to the success of the 2nd Dominican Film Festival in New York, Cine Art Entertainment Production, and Toyota of Manhattan, announce "The Best of the 2nd Dominican Film Festival in New York" to be held on Saturday October 12, at 1:00pm at the United Palace for the Arts, located in the heart of Northern Manhattan, on 175th Street and Broadway.
This exhibition of the best Dominican films from the September festival, we will continue to contribute to the development of Dominican culture within the Northern Manhattan community. Featured films will include:
- "Jaque Mate" by Jose Maria Cabral and featuring Frank Perozo and Michelle Vargas;
- "Anna's Struggle" by Bladimir Abud, winner of Soberano Award as best film and starring Cheddy Garcia, Soberano Award as best actress on that same film;
- "Lotoman 2.0" by Archie Lopez, Soberano Award as best director, starring Raymond Pozo, Miguel Cespedes and Venezuelan actor Fernando Carrillo; and
- "To the Rhythm of Faith", a religiously themed musical by Jose Gomez.
The goal of the Dominican Film Festival in New York is to opening a space for the discovery and promotion of Dominican films, to motivate the work of new producers as well as that of previously established ones; and above all, to create a meeting point for lovers of the Seventh Art and Dominican culture in the Big Apple.
We invite you to enjoy this exhibition of Dominican film, and let yourself be carried away by the cinematographic environment that is emerging in the Northern Manhattan neighborhood, at an incomparable place such as the United Palace is.
