New Products

We just announced the HD Venue Wireless Microphone System, a rack-mounted two-channel system. (Currently, this system is only certified for use in the Americas- stay tuned for the rest-of-world announcement.) It uses any combination of the HD Wireless Microphones and is ideal for most pro-audio applications that focus on the spoken word, such as in houses of worship, public address systems, voice lift in classrooms and auditoriums, or rental microphone systems. The range between the HD Venue Base Station and the placement of the HD Wireless Microphone is 300 feet (91 meters). Up to two HD Venue Systems can be used within a single area to have four HD Wireless Microphones of any type in use.

Additionally, Revolabs announced a major enhancement to the entire line of Revolabs HD Wireless Microphone Systems-- the range of the HD Wireless Microphones has been increased threefold to a distance of 300 feet (91 meters) on the Executive HD Systems and to a distance of 150 feet (46 meters) on the HD Single/Dual Channel Systems. Of course, actual range depends on the RF signal absorption, reflection, and interference.

We are now shipping the HD Always-On Adapter for tabletop microphones. This adapter along with its power supply provides continual power to any Revolabs HD tabletop microphone allowing it to be used without running out of battery power.

NOTE: HD microphones being used with either the Revolabs HD Venue system or the HD Always-On Adapter must be upgraded to firmware Ver_2.3.6-02 to properly function with those devices.

New Firmware and Software

Version 2.3.6-02 firmware combined with 2.3.0 Revolabs HD Control Panel is a huge stepping-stone in the Revolabs HD product line. Here are some of the major improvements with the new firmware release:

  • The HD Single/Dual channel system now supports a range of up to 150 feet and the Executive HD system now support a range of up to 300 feet. (Actual range depends on the RF signal absorbtion, reflection, and interference.)
  • Added the new HD Venue product to the firmware bundle in a continued effort to only have one firmware version for all HD products. The HD Venue system also supports a range up to 300 feet. (Actual range depends on the RF signal absorbtion, reflection, and interference.)
  • Ability to adjust Power Scaling and Redundancy to better mitigate inference with third-party DECT devices. This has been a huge accomplishment in maximizing the amount of DECT RF that can operate within a given area. Now, only in extreme cases will RF interference cause any system problems.

We recommend that everyone update to the latest firmware as the overall system performance greatly exceeds previous firmware revisions. If you have any other questions pertaining to interference or are interested in technical assistance with a system design feel free to contact support@revolabs.com

NOTE: The HD Control Panel Rev_2.3.0 must be used to properly upgrade your HD system to firmware Ver_2.3.6-02. Using a older version of the control panel will result in the upgrade not completely properly and rendering the system inoperable. If you have already attempted the upgrade with a older revision of the Revolabs HD Control Panel, simply disconnect from the system, download and upgrade the HD Control Panel on your PC, and then load the 2.3.6-02 firmware again to the microphones and the Base Station.

All HD microphones being used with either the Revolabs HD Venue system or the HD Always-On Adapter must be upgraded to firmware Ver_2.3.6-02 to properly function with those devices.
