NOTICE: New State Forms for Independent Contractors
As we reported in December the RI Department of Labor & Training has revised the Designation as Independent Contractor form (DWC-11-IC (5/19). Starting April 1st the DLT will not accept any new designations on the old form. Any new designations received after that date will be rejected. This is especially important for all workers compensation policies moving forward.
 
Any existing designations already on file do not need to be refiled. Please visit the RI DLT Website to download the form and get submission instructions for your agency and clients.
Apply for Scholarship Grants
Each year, the Rhode Island CPCU Scholarship Fund offers you, your employees, and your immediate family members the opportunity to apply for scholarship grants ranging from $2,500 to $4,000. Over $360,000 has been awarded throughout the years.

These grants are made possible by the generosity of the Rhode Island insurance community. Since 1994, the agency community alone has donated over $110,000 to the cause.
