Updates and Resources from Rhode Island PBS Education Services
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
We enjoyed celebrating teachers this week by delivering PBS KIDS Snack Packs and sharing our feelings of gratitude through social media!

The week may be coming to an end, but it's never too late to thank a teacher!

We had some fun doing so by using a PBS Teachers digital card! Find them by following @EdServRIPBS on Facebook and Twitter . Just save the picture, fill in the blanks, and post!

Paws for a Minute
Meet Kyle and Raff, two Golden Lion Tamarins who reside at the new rainforest exhibit at Roger Williams Park Zoo.

You can learn more about them, as well as the Linne's Two-Toed Sloths, Elegant Crested Tinamous, and Southern Tamanduas, in four new Paws for a Minute segments.
Tre Maison Dasan
Tre Maison Dasan is a moving film featuring Rhode Island families which recently aired on as part of the Independent Lens series.

With help from producer, Denali Tiller, and the San Francisco Unified School District, we posted educational resources created to accompany the film and help teachers and students combat the stigma and misperceptions that exist around children and families of the incarcerated.
Rhode Island State Parks
With resources available for every grade level, the Rhode Island State Parks collection will help teachers inform students of the beauty and history of a variety of local spaces. The included support materials provide students the opportunity to consider their own experience with state parks as well as the need for such spaces in the community.
