This quote shows up often in distressing times for our communities. It is important for all of us to remember and see the good in people, but it is especially important for your students at any age. We would like to share our heartfelt thanks with all Rhode Island educators for showing up for your students, their families, and your peers in such a significant way. You are the helpers that Fred's mom described. Speaking for all of us at Rhode Island PBS, we see you and we appreciate you.

Request for Student Submissions
In this new Rhode Island PBS short film series, kids ask questions about the coronavirus COVID-19 and medical professionals provide thoughtful, informative answers. New 2-3 minute segments will be broadcast on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and feature kids from across the state.

Distance Learning Resources

In an effort to provide students with educational programs regardless of their access to broadband internet, our LEARN Channel (digital 36.2; Cox 808, Verizon FiOS 478, Full Channel 989; Comcast 294 or 312) recently launched a new schedule for students in grades 6-12.

Last Call for Applications
The Rhode Island Foundation is currently accepting applications for the third annual Rhode Island PBS Scholarship, worth up to $15,000 at an accredited four-year, post-secondary institution. Student residents of the station's demographic market area are encouraged to apply. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or a currently-enrolled college student with intent to pursue a course of studies in broadcasting, communications, or journalism.
