Greetings from Wisconsin! Sometimes summer creeps along, and sometimes it's half over before we know it. And usually, it's a paradoxical combination of the two feelings. Winters here are long, so we try to cram as much outdoor enjoyment into our summers as we can.
Those of us in the Midwest know that summers are sure to bring bountiful garden harvests, warm days, and the inevitable strong thunderstorms. This month, Judy used our waning rhubarb and increasing raspberries to concoct a tasty cobbler. Meanwhile, Noel used T-posts and twine (truly the duct tape and WD-40 of his garden construction) to re-erect his sweet corn. Read all about it below.
