Sales Tax Weekend Coming up- Shop Local!

Massachusetts' Sale Tax Holiday will be Saturday August 13 and Sunday August 14th. Retail items of up to $2,500, purchased in Massachusetts for personal use on these two days, will be exempt from sales tax. Be sure to consider Woburn Retailers as you are doing your shopping!

New Boston Street Area Meeting Recap

In June, Mayor Scott Galvin hosted a meeting with the business community and property owners from the New Boston Street Area to provide an update on the construction of the new bridge as well as gather feedback from attendees. City Staff plans to build off of the momentum from this meeting and continue conversations about the New Boston Street area in the Fall.

Pocket Park Progress

The upgrades to Woburn Center's Pocket Park are almost complete! The enhancements to the Pocket Park include creating new seating areas, planting new shade trees, installing additional lighting fixtures, and adding green space serving to enhance the existing natural rock wall.

Live Music at Horn Pond

Social Capital Inc (SCI), an organization focused on cultivating connections, is hosting a series of summer concerts at Horn Pond. The free concerts are an opportunity for all community members to connect and enjoy music together!


The concerts are scheduled for July 28th, August 11th, and August 25th at 6pm
