Ride For Racial Justice
With over 250 participants, the Ride For Racial Justice (RFRJ) - Fort Collins on Saturday, September 12th was a huge success! Folks of all ages and colors showed up in a proud and visible statement of solidarity to support efforts in dismantling systemic racism. We are so grateful to RFRJ co-founders, Marcus Robinson and Neal Henderson for bringing the RFRJ to Fort Collins. Through these rides we aim to create a space where everyone feels safe, free and empowered to ride their bike regardless of color. Read More

Intersection Focus
Bike Fort Collins continues to identify intersections that could be improved to optimize bicycle safety. Last month we focused on the intersection of Drake and Overland Trail. Of the 28 survey respondents, 71% said they have experienced conflict at that intersection. Bike Fort Collins appreciates your input and we look forward to using your responses as we work with the city to find creative and innovative solutions to improving intersection safety and reducing high conflict areas.
This month we focus on the Elizabeth and Taft Hill intersection. Have you experienced conflict at this location? Please take a moment to respond to this 3-question survey and help us find ways to improve vehicle/bicycle interactions.

Wish For Wheels FoCo
Wish For Wheels FoCo is a joint effort with a peer organization, Wish For Wheels, to bring a FREE bike and helmet to every 2nd-grader in Poudre School District’s Title 1 elementary schools this fall.
To augment its Safe Routes to School efforts and get more kids on bikes, and riding bikes to school, Bike Fort Collins is excited to align this unique model that bundles corporate philanthropy, team building, and employee engagement through bike builds, to deliver brand new bikes to kids in the community who need them.
No matter your organization’s size, or your own individual ability to give, you can make a difference!

Each year, through Tour de Fat, New Belgium Brewing graciously helps support the work of Bike Fort Collins. We encourage you to purchase a swag kit, license plate, or both--and even a donation if you're feeling' it, as New Belgium matches the funds raised through swag kit and license plate orders.
We think this year's license plate will be one to collect and remember, as we're hopeful we won't need to have any more "virtual" TdFs.

Shift Your Ride Month
September has been Shift Your Ride Month and we challenged you to go car-free (yay, bikes!) for one extra trip per week. The ultimate goal was to get 1,500 community members to sign-up for this challenge and we are excited to report the results to our readers once they come in!
Choosing alternative transportation helps our community get that much closer to our goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. When we replace a typical 3 mile road trip every week for a year this adds up to a savings of roughly 63,000 grams of CO2! Living in a platinum Bicycle Friendly Community means choosing bicycle transportation is an easy way to improve our health and reduce our carbon footprint. Are you the Shift? Be the Shift.
Check out how Becky "shifted her ride" in this time-lapse coffee run!
