ServSafe Food Safety Training and Certification
When: Tuesday, December 9, 9 a.m. –5 p.m.
Where: Butte College SBDC

California requires food safety recertification every five years, and passing the ServSafe® exam renews your certification. This state-approved training includes the ServSafe® book, exam, and certificate, taught by a certified trainer. Register and purchase books three weeks in advance for delivery and study. Seating is limited; prepayment holds your spot.

Jen's Place: Nightly activities and live music
With a fun country chic vibe and no entry fee, Jen's is a fantastic place to hang out with friends and have a great time. Every night of the week, Jen's has something different to offer, such as dance lessons, karaoke, live music, football, special events, and parties. You can also enjoy pool tables, pinball machines, and a jukebox at Jen's.

Christmas Ride & Caroling Through Paradise
When: Saturday, December 13, 10:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
Where: Along the Paradise bike path, from Moore Road to Pearson Road
The Paradise Horsemen’s Association spreads holiday cheer as riders in festive attire ride from the Paradise Horse Arena down the bike path. Stops include Barney O’Rourke’s for lunchtime caroling, with additional visits to Starbucks and Joy Lyn’s Candies on Pearson Road. Join the celebration or wave from along the route!

Elks' Hoop Shoot

A free throw contest for boys and girls ages 8–13 (as of April 1, 2026). Each child will shoot 25 free throws; 8–9 year olds will shoot 4 feet in front of the regulation line. Registration fee is sponsored by the Paradise Elks Lodge.
