Just some notes to everyone so that all are on the same page as we transition between such an awesome summer and our school year programming!

We have one final Summer Sunday youth this week (8/29) at the Jackson’s (8888 Cravenwood Drive) all 6th-8th welcome !! It’s been so much fun!! and well attended all across the age groups...Definitely worth checking out! 7-8:30pm! No youth Sept 5!

We return to our school year schedule of middle school 5:30-7 and high school 7-8:30 on Sunday evenings beginning Sept 12. We are going to have dinner and a meet and greet with our new incoming 6th graders before middle school that evening (5p) so please spread the word AND consider coming to welcome them!

In October, we will relaunch Middle School Sunday School/Confirmation, High school Sunday school as well as Wed night HS bible study. This Sunday a special Sunday school class for 6th graders begins and if you have one in that grade you should have received word!

We would love new commitments to both our student and adult leadership teams! Over the course of September, we’re going to be working with these teams on the rest of the school year’s plans. So it’s an important time to jump in! First meeting for existing and interested student leaders is at the Hart’s house 3314 Mill Spring Ct on Wed Sept 1, open/drop in between 5-8:30 (food provided). Note: Student leadership is limited to Ridge-involved 8th-12th grade students, though ORUMC membership is not a requirement. Please contact Harrison if interested!

If any adults are interested in Sunday night volunteering, chaperoning, teaching, or adult planning team please reach out and we’ll talk through what might be a best fit!!!

This school year we’ll have many opportunities for special events. As the leadership team plans out our school year, one thing we know is taking place that we want on everyone’s radar is the Oct 16 God Loves Guilford Day of Service. This is a church-wide + muLti church effort and students will have plenty of opportunity to serve in our community, plus have some fun in the evening. More details out soon, but we hope for a strong showing and please save the date!!
