About the Program

This program will explore the framework of a prima facie right of publicity case. Drawing from his scholarly publication, "Inventing The Unified Publicity Rights," Dr. Farbman, PhD will provide a case law analysis of the recent lawsuit alleging name, image, and likeness (“NIL”) theory damages by former college men’s basketball members of the 1983 North Carolina State University NCAA National Champions. This program is designed for all entertainment, in-house Hollywood studio, intellectual property, and sports lawyers to gain an essential understanding of how to apply the correct right of publicity legal framework.
