Peter did well, stepping out of the boat at Jesus' word, "Come". He walked on top of the water. He started out in great faith, but when things around him started looking crazy he panicked and dropped his trust in the Word.

 

I've found that it's not my initial believing that's the issue, but standing when things begin to look totally opposite what God said in His Word. It always happens. Whether its healing or a home or finances...circumstances always arise to try and make me say, "It was better before I prayed". But the victories I've witnessed in my own life have only happened when I took a dogmatic, tenacious stand and continued meditating and confessing with my mouth the promises of God concerning that particular matter.

 

As a matter of fact, one of the signs that you're actually in faith is when the enemy bombards your mind with loud crazy thoughts that shout out, "It ain't gonna work out". You really have to have a firm foundation. You have to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's definitely God's will for you now! Other than that, you'll falter. When I haven't stood firm, I lost out. (I've been on both sides of that fence). It's only when I've been fully convinced, nothing wavering that I've seen the power of God manifested.
