Do you see these verses manifesting fruit with the person you may currently have your sights set on?
Can you see yourself with that person permanently?
~ dealing with their beliefs, involvements, moods, behaviors,
habits, addictions, attitudes, challenges
~ Are you spiritually up for it...for the long haul?
Will that man love you as Christ loved the church?
Is that woman meek - as in "powerfully loving"?
Can you see yourself parenting with that person, should a child be conceived between you?
Will you...can you see yourself agreeing in the raising of a child in the love and admonition of the Lord?
Romantic relationships were
never meant to be approached as extracurricular activity, seasonal trials, trial seasons, or flesh appeasement; but especially now. God has reason and purpose for relationships and connections - to enjoy, yes; but also to build and serve...all for His glory.
Now, until the Lord causes the gathering together of you with whom He has for you, and has prepared you for each other...WAIT. Do not settle for or into less than what God has destined.
Endeavor to:
~ Wait in the Lord
~ Be alone in and with Him
~ Be committed to Him and His process of preparing for that union
Doing and going about it His way equips you for the challenging, wearying times; grooms you to appreciate the great ones; and cause you to flourish in all times. When the devil and his agents circle around like buzzards, the two of you can cut them off at the quick - the husband covering the wife, and she covering her husband in prayer with God providing strategies for victory; both being built up in faith in God that "nothing can infiltrate our union...for God did this!"
