internsLinked Learning Student Interns and Exhibits
Thirty students from pathways in Orange Unified School District will be interns at the Convention to gain authentic work-based learning experience and help us make this event an unforgettable experience for you! The students will be joining us  from hospitality, digital media and arts pathways and will get the opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom to their internship at the Convention.

Be sure to attend the new Student Project Exhibition at the Convention Kick-Off reception on the afternoon of Monday, February 12 (3:30 - 5:30PM). This year's Student Exhibition will highlight student's work from 15 pathways from around Orange County. Linked Learning students and teachers will be on site to talk about pathway projects and provide demonstrations of hands-on learning.

makerspaceExpanded Maker's Space to Spark Hands on Learning

A maker space to spark creative hands-on learning that can be integrated with academic instruction was a big hit at last year's convention. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the California State University, the maker space will be back again at this Convention and will be bigger, providing more opportunities learn about how to set-up makerspaces and incorporate maker activities across academic disciplines and grade levels.

In 2012, Jobs for the Future (JFF) and the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), in partnership with states and regions across the nation, launched the Pathways to Prosperity Network to reimagine the K-12 through post-secondary educational experience. The newly released book, Learning for Careers: The Pathways to Prosperity Network, summarizes this growing multi-state initiative.
