Richard S. Block: 2025 Difference Makers

Richard S. Block, Advancement Director at LifeAct

“Ultimately, if I can help even one family not have to go through an experience similar to mine, then I can say with certainty that this work will be the most important contribution that I can ever make in my career,” - Richard S. Block, Advancement Director at LifeAct.

LifeAct is incredibly proud of Richard and this achievement of his. Every year, out of thousands, only 18 individuals are selected to be showcased as Difference Makers in Northeast Ohio in the Cleveland Jewish News. Both Richard's insight and optimism not only supports LifeAct's mission of providing Suicide Prevention Education programs to thousands of students, but strengthens the integrity of the organization. We congratulate Richard on this achievement and cannot wait for what the future here at LifeAct holds for him.

Programming Update: 2025 Fall Semester Recap

LifeAct is Proud to share our fall semester 2025 recap. Because of our wonderful donors, LifeAct was able to reach schools in 13 counties in the state of Ohio. Our instructors, rain or shine, were able to bring Suicide Prevention Education to teens throughout Northeast Ohio. Over 19,000 students received our programs over the past five months, that's about 900 classrooms that were served by LifeAct. In total, LifeAct had the privilege of visiting 83 schools. We thank our donors for your never-ending support for such vital programs for our Northeast Ohio teens.

Grants and Foundation News!

We want to extend a huge thank you to the Max Strus Family Foundation and CavsCare for hosting LifeAct last week! It was an honor to be included alongside our friends at Workshop of Wishes who bring so much joy to children in our community.

At LifeAct, we are dedicated to empowering young people to recognize the warning signs of suicide and seek help for themselves and others. Support from like-minded foundations helps us continue our mission of providing life-saving suicide prevention education to students across Northeast Ohio.
