The Baltimore Area Council is excited to announce the beginning of our 2024 Annual Appeal! (Formerly Friends of Scouting)
The Annual Appeal helps raise the funds necessary for the Baltimore Area Council to support more than 12,000 youth members – investing over $250 per Scout! That adds up to a lot of money, but if we all pitch in what we can, we can provide a quality program to every young person who wants to be a Scout.
Watch the brief video below and then click the link to commit your support for Scouting in Central Maryland today at www.BaltimoreBSA.org/AnnualAppeal

Reach, Recruit, Retain in the New Year! |
January is a great time to be a Cub Scout. With Pinewood Derby and Blue and Gold just around the corner, this can be a great time to share about the fun of Scouting. These events can also be a great time to involve parents who are not already active volunteers. One great way to do this is to ask each parent to take on a small task for these two large events. A parent who is not comfortable as a den leader may enjoy putting together decorations or assisting with the Pinewood Derby check-in process.
