East Bay Chapter
East Bay Chapter — Basic Irrigation and Advanced Two Wire Trouble Shooting
Thursday, January 20, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The Urban Farmer Store, 2121 San Joaquin Street, Richmond
Douglas Anthony, The Urban Farmer Store will discuss tricks of the trade including how to diagnose electrical problems with volt/ohm meters. Mastering these essential skills will make service calls a profitable pleasure! A volt/ohm meter allows for easy analysis of power, solenoid and valve wires. Use the voltage setting to test for power and the Ohm setting to test for proper continuity of the wire run and solenoid. Learning how to use these simple tests can save a lot of labor and frustration.
Troubleshooting 2-wire systems doesn’t have to be difficult when the proper tools and methods are used. During this portion of the class, Mike Blair with Hunter Industries will cover the following items that relate to any 2-wire system: Discuss various tools and their purpose in the troubleshooting process; Identify the type of problem; Troubleshooting with minimal tools; Troubleshooting with more advanced tools. This event will be held in person at The Urban Farmer Store, outside on the patio area and includes sandwiches and beverages. If the weather is not favorable, the event will be through Zoom and registrants will be refunded and notified by email. CLCA Members $15, Non-members $35. Register here.
