Looking Our Best for Back to School

As a reminder, students are required to be in full compliance with grooming and uniform guidelines when they return to campus. Please plan for summer haircuts if needed in advance of the start of the school year!

Summer Reading Reminder
We are doing one school one book as a way to continue to build our family spirit. The novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon, gives an engaging, funny, and moving story to share and a place from which we can discuss the themes of empathy, inclusivity, and understanding that are at the core of the Riordan family spirit.

See this link for more details, and a list of other reading recommendations for this summer! If you've read something good, we'd love to hear about it and why. Email [email protected].
Sign Up for Fall Sports
Signups are now available for Cross Country, Football, Volleyball, Girls' Tennis, and Girls' Golf. General tryout dates and times are included on the sign-up form, and coaches will be communicating with families as the dates get closer.

Buying Books

Riordan’s online bookstore through e-Campus opens July 19, and free shipping is available July 19-25. Please note that some digital texts may take up to 5 to 7 days to arrive for download. If you have any questions, contact the e-Campus Customer Service Team by email, Live Chat, or by calling (844) 523-8980.

  • Students should use their Riordan email to order, and new students can use a regular email. Fall semester schedules (Classes 1-4) can be viewed in PowerSchool.
Schedule Change Requests

If you would like to request a schedule change, or have questions about your schedule, please fill out this form.

Schedule change requests will only be honored for the following reasons:
  • You were misplaced in a class that you are not qualified for or did not request.
  • You have changed your mind about taking an AP or honors course.
  • You need to retake a course that you were not able to repair during the summer.

We will not make any changes based on teacher or time of day preference. Not all requests will be granted.
Additional Reminders for the Class of 2025 and Transfer Students

Please note that on Friday, July 30 you will receive instructions to set up three student accounts. We recommend that you do this prior to the start of Orientation.

  • Riordan Student Email: An email will be sent to Class of 2025 and Transfer Student parents with instructions on how to access a student's Riordan email account. It will arrive from our Director of Technology Mr. John Wu.

  • Student PowerSchool Account: An email will be sent to Class of 2025 and Transfer Student parents with instructions on how to set up a student's PowerSchool account. It will arrive from our PowerSchool Manager Mr. Michael O'Brien.

  • Student Schoology Account: Schoology is Riordan's Learning Management system for administering classes. An email will be sent to Class of 2025 and Transfer Student parents with instructions on how to set up a student and parent Schoology account. It will arrive from our Schoology Manager Mr. Viggen Rassam.

Student ID
You should have received an email from Mr. Michael O'Brien with your son or daughter's Student ID. Please keep track of this number. You will need it to:
  • Set up an account with SportsNet for participation in Athletics
  • Set up an account with MySchoolBucks to purchase food in the Cafeteria

Athletics Medical Clearance thru Sportsnet
A medical clearance by a doctor is required for all students interested in participating in sports during the 2021-22 school year. This is due August 1. More Information

Immunization Forms Due ASAP
A copy of a student's immunization record is required for entry into Archbishop Riordan High School. Thank you to those who have already submitted this.

  • Please submit immunization records to attn: Mrs. Nora Birmingham or email a PDF to [email protected]. You can submit any immunization record from your doctor's office, or you can download a form here.

House Questionnaire
New students should fill out this form as Riordan's Sorting Helm places you in one of four Houses! Please complete this by July 30.
"0" Period

Many of you in the Band program will have a course in the "0" period. This is a class that will take place from 7:50 - 8:35 am during the semester that you do not have your other band course. This was created so that students could attend a band class all year. Your band instructor will provide more information about this before the start of the school year.

If after the summer, you are still academically ineligible, you will also be enrolled in a "0" period class for Academic Support. You will be informed of this at orientation.
4x4 Bell Schedule and Lunch News

  • We will still utilize the 4x4 system next year. Classes listed in Periods 1-4 are the classes that you have in the first semester, and the classes that you have in Periods 5-8 are the classes you have in the second semester.

  • Many of you will have a "free period" where you have no class listed for a given period. This is a study period, and during orientation, you will find out where you will report during that period.

  • Next year we will have two lunch periods. During orientation, you will find out whether or not you have early or late lunch. Both of those will be reflected on your PowerSchool schedule when the school year starts.

Please view a copy of the bell schedule for next year, which is different then the previous semester; we plan on being back in-person five days a week in the fall and students are required to attend all days.
If you have other questions, please reach out to the following administrators:
