Go with the Grain on To-Go Salad Menus
U.S. grown canned pears add subtle aroma and a hint of sweetness to grain salads for pick-up and to-go menus. For longer hold times and longer trips, pack the dressing in a separate container. Peruse our collection of salads for menu inspiration.

Celebrate U.S. Grown Ripe ‘n Ready
Canned Pears
Today, more than ever, we are all looking for safe, sustainable ingredients for meals and snacks. Pear growers in Washington and Oregon, along with their processing partners, provide canned Bartlett pears, a convenient and delicious fruit that can be enjoyed straight from the can or used in recipes for smoothies, baked goods, salads, soups, sides, and more.

Did you know that every Bartlett pear tree produces large and small fruit? The large pears are sold fresh while smaller pears head to nearby canneries to be ripened, then cored, peeled and poached right in the BPA-free cans. Nothing is added except the poaching liquid—pear juice or a lightly sweetened syrup. This is the same time-honored canning process used by past generations of home canners to preserve the fruits of summer throughout the year.
