A monthly update to inspire collaborative youth leadership and action for our blue planet
Monthly Youth Organization Spotlight

Straw Patrol is a Portuguese ocean awareness initiative aiming to educate and contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet. As a volunteer-based project, since early 2016 Straw Patrol has been delivering talks at schools and public events, organizing coastal cleanups and working together with municipalities to implementation of new regulations that prevent plastic pollution.
What started from the hands of a single marine biology student has expanded to include other students and graduates. The project continually involves students on the team, making this a project lead by and for youth.
