Meet the World Ocean Day Youth Advisory Council

Andrea Quintero
Andrea is a marine biology student at the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur in Mexico. Her passion for ocean conservation led her to get certified as a naturalist guide and has been working while at university as a guide for whale shark tours as well as tours to the islands of the Gulf of California.

Andrea is currently working on her undergraduate thesis with Centro para la Biodiversidad Marina y la Conservación, A.C. which is an organization dedicated to generate scientific knowledge and facilitate its integration into the processes of natural resource management and conservation of vital marine ecosystems, as well as species of commercial importance.
