Johnson elected to URMIA board
Risk management director Susie Johnson recently was voted president-elect of the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) board of directors.
Johnson said, "I remember standing at the back of the room at the first URMIA annual conference I attended, listening and thinking that these people genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. And they appreciate each other. That is so cool."
Johnson noted she hoped for the opportunity to have a leadership role in the organization and is grateful the day has come.
“It is an honor to be elected by the risk management peers I respect so much. URMIA provides tremendous resources, professional development, and connection to our ISU risk management team and to thousands of others globally. I look forward to serving and supporting this dedicated community, and I’m excited about furthering our mission to advance the discipline of risk management in higher education.”
URMIA serves an international community of more than 3,100 risk management professionals in more than 875 institutions of higher learning.
