Deadline extended for Youth Programs Awards nominations

There is still time to submit nominations for the annual Youth Programs Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to youth development and leadership in 2025 for university-sponsored youth programs. Consider nominating yourself, your team, or other youth programs colleagues. Submissions are due by the end of the day on May 8, 2026.

Youth Programs Awards Recognition Reception

Youth program leaders and other stakeholders are invited to attend a Youth Programs Recognition Reception on May 18 from 2:00-3:30 pm in the Memorial Union Campanile Room. A brief program will begin at 2:30.

“Italy is the number one study abroad destination for ISU students, so it made sense for me to start there to ‘get my feet wet.’ It was important to me to talk with students, security professionals, and administrators, and to visit health clinics and walk neighborhoods for real-time context," Luick-Martins said. "Those conversations and experiences will inform my perspective and the resources I provide. My goal is always to help students have meaningful experiences abroad in a safe environment."
