Youth program award winners announced

We are pleased to announce the winners of the first annual Youth Program Awards, which recognize outstanding contributions to youth development and leadership for Iowa State sponsored youth programs in 2024. The awards were presented during the recent Youth Programs Symposium.

• Youth Program Leader of the Year: Dr. Alexis Campbell, Director, Science Bound
• Outstanding Youth Program of the Year: Advocating for My Relationships (ADMYRE), HDFS, College of Health and Human Sciences
• Youth Program State Member of the Year: Molly Barten, Youth and Family Education Coordinator, Reiman Gardens

New international safety and security alert system coming soon

This summer, a new itinerary-based safety and security alert platform will become available to university international business travelers. Crisis24 Horizon will seamlessly integrate with Iowa State’s current global assistance and insurance program provided by On Call International to provide more robust and user-friendly features, including:

• Integration with Microsoft Single-Sign-On
• Real-time, location-based alerts based on the mobile app (optional)
• Enhanced destination risk intelligence for travelers and the risk management office

Insurance reminders

Business interruption insurance worksheets due June 6

In March, we announced that all university groups who buy business interruption insurance must complete a business interruption worksheet as part of the October 1, 2025, renewal process. The worksheets are due to Cally Jennett by Friday, June 6, 2025.

If you have questions about the insurance coverage or need assistance to complete the worksheet, please email Cally at cjennett@iastate.edu.

Electronic Data Processing (EDP) policy renews July 1

Departments and laboratories may purchase EDP coverage for a wide range of equipment, including:

• Research
• Computer
• Audiovisual
• Conference room/telecommunications
• Medical and diagnostic

The policy will cover the replacement cost of equipment for a variety of losses, including theft, fire, water, and accidental damage. Email Kellie Smith for more information and to enroll.

Summer newsletter hiatus
