Managing Risk for Employees and Customers in a Post-Pandemic Workplace
Thursday, June 10, 2021 | 11 AM TO 12:15 PM
Member Price: $0 | Non-Member Price: $0

The COVID-19 pandemic shook the world to its foundations, and the Pennsylvania economy with it. With vaccines widely available and life gradually returning to normal, the future is looking brighter than it did a year ago. But as the state removes restrictions, businesses face a new class of risks.
Presented by the PA Chamber of Business & Industry in partnership with Epistemix, this free program is designed to empower Pennsylvania employers with the resources needed to mitigate risk for their employees and customers.

Program Highlights:
  • How should I manage our transition back to in-person work? What considerations and potential pitfalls should I keep I mind?
  • How does bringing employees back to offices impact insurance risk?
  • How does business travel influence employee health risks?

  • What are the risks associated with reopening specific retail and event locations?

  • How can businesses effectively communicate risks and establish appropriate mitigation measures to bring back pre-pandemic numbers?

  • How can companies leverage a smart reopening to build trust with stakeholders, instead of risking damage to their brand?

  • How are disease seasonality and special events like Memorial Day and July 4th shaping the spread of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania?

  • How does a dispersed workforce (remote and in-office) distribute risk for employers?

Information from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

The deadline to apply for a PPP loan has passed; applications are no longer being accepted. But there are other loan opportunities you may have access to — you just have to know where to look. This guide outlines small business loans and alternative funding options, while this one lists more than 30 grants, loans and programs. And, the U.S. Small Business Association offers these seven SBA loan programs, which you may qualify for, as well.

We’re finding ourselves in a new, “new normal,” and business owners have no shortage of questions. Luckily, there is guidance. Check out this COVID-19 vaccine resource center for information, tools and templates your business can use during the current phase of the pandemic response, including vaccine messaging that works (it’s been tested) and state-by-state vaccine guidance.

I’m fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit Israel in 2011, where I attended a networking event and a meeting hosted by the Federation of the Israeli Chambers of Commerce (FICC). Through this connection I am able to share with you importing and exporting opportunities from their members.

Companies who find these initiatives relevant to them may contact FICC directly through the contact information stated in the offer.

They also invite you to send business offers to them to be circulated throughout their website business opportunity system.
