RCIA Parish Directors, Coordinators, and Pastors:

The celebration of the Rite of Election for Catechumens and the Rite of Call to Continuing Conversion for Candidates are required celebrations leading to the sacraments of initiation at the Easter Vigil. This is a Diocesan Rite presided over by the Bishop. Archbishop Gustavo would like to ensure that every catechumen and candidate will be able to attend this important celebration.

The Parish Rite of Sending to Election or Rite of Call to Continuing Conversion will be discussed in the Leadership Meetings coming in January.

Registration is Open

Online Registration is now open and can be found here, or you can fax this paper registration form (PDF) to 210-734-2758 no later than January 19.

Parishes will be assigned to the hosting locations based on their proximity and the number of Catechumens and Candidates registered to attend.

Seating in our hosting parishes will be limited. With that in mind, please note that reserved seating will be available only for Catechumens and Candidates, their sponsors, and 1 parish RCIA coordinator. A section of the church will be available for general seating for other family members or other team members.

Reminder: only catechumens should sign the parish Book of the Elect, which will then be brought to the Archdiocesan Rite of Election. You can obtain this book at Catholic Book Publishing or at Mary Regina.
