Importance of Prayer
You have probably heard it said many times that that prayer is important, but I want to ask you; How much importance do you give prayer?
Some time ago this question began to keep me awake at night. I began to think about strategies that could help people engage in prayer more meaningfully. Over the past few years, we have organized special prayer times to encourage our congregation to pray, sometimes even exploring different methods of prayer.
During this sabbatical, one of the projects I have been working on is the development of a prayer app. The goal of this prayer app is to encourage people to pray consistently and regularly.
John Crumbley, who is helping me greatly with this project, has created the app's framework and secured two websites that will serve as resources. I have also gathered a team of 35 individuals who will help craft the daily prayer prompts that future users of this app will receive.
It is exciting to see this vison come together. I know God will use it to foster faith and enhance prayer engagement in the lives of those who will utilize this prayer app.
