Chamber & Community News
Heading back into the wild…
from Dr. Gina Rivas-Castro, Health 1st Chiropractic & Wellness Center, RHCC Board Member
As the stay-at-home order expires today, May 18th, it is normal to have some concerns about venturing out but let's discuss some key things you can focus on to feel safe during this process.

  1. Consolidate your trips out at the beginning to minimize your potential exposure. Your immune system has not been exposed to the normal microbiome in the environment so this is key.
  2. Practice safe hygiene measures to minimize touching frequently touched surfaces such as doors in addition to washing your hands frequently.
  3. Focus on strengthening your immune system. Get adequate sleep, Eat whole foods vs. processed food, Stay hydrated and Active, and Minimize Stress. In addition, Supplement with key immune boosting vitamins such as Vitamin D, Zinc, Vitamin C, and Probiotics/Prebotics.
  4. As we begin to open things up, it is expected the number of cases will increase as exposure to SARS-CoV-2 will be higher. Focus on keeping your immune system strong and we will all get through this together.
Lastly, there is something to be said about "Becoming or Creating too Clean of an Environment." Tune in on either of our upcoming LIVE webinars where we will discuss the basics on the function of your immune system and ways to give it the boost it needs to potentially fight a virus.

Share Your Business With Us By Video
Make your own 15-20 second video and share it with us at the Chamber!

Here's how:

1. Record your video in Landscape mode (horizontally)
2. Record in a quiet place if possible (limit background noise)
3. Message - Hi, my name is ABC with XYZ company. Our company does XYZ. Add in a positive thing/message you are doing during this time and/or a way people can connect with you (website or other contact info).
4. Save the video on a Google drive and share it with Nicole here
(Please note: the video file may be too big to email directly so saving it to a file sharing spot like Google Drive or Dropbox first is helpful to send us a link to download the file itself).
