White Bear Lake Area High School Students Gain Real-World Experience Through New Royal Credit Union School Site

Royal Credit Union (Royal) is proud to announce a new partnership with White Bear Lake Area High School to open a student-run credit union location at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The new school site will expand access to financial education for White Bear Lake Area High School students. Through financial education activities, promotions, and structured programming, students will build practical knowledge in areas such as budgeting, saving, banking basics, credit, fraud prevention, and post-secondary financial planning.

Beginning July 27, the IGH Police Department is gathering school supplies for kids in need!

As your family and neighbors get ready to go back to school, please consider purchasing and donating supplies for the IGH PD Pack the Patrol Car school supply drive. The department is supporting the local Parent Care Collective as they assemble backpacks full of school supplies for elementary students. 

Beginning July 27 through August 17, you can drop off school supplies in the collection box at the IGH Police Department Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. After business hours, you can drop off supplies outside City Hall Council Chambers doors on Mondays: July 27, August 3 and August 10 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Both the Police Department and City Hall Council Chambers are located at 8150 Barbara Ave. As you are driving toward City Hall, the Police Department will be to your right and Council Chambers will be to your left.

New Playground Coming to Spruce Park - South St. Paul

The City of South St. Paul has received $188,231 through the 2027 Minnesota Outdoor Recreation Grant to help fund a new playground.

The planned playground will feature a city-themed design and provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive place for children of all ages and abilities to play, explore and connect.

This grant supports the City’s ongoing work to improve access to outdoor recreation for the community.
