River Center Art Gallery Reception Volunteers Needed
Sunday, March 3, shifts between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm
The Fresno Art Musuem and River Parkway Trust are hosting a reception for photographer, filmmaker, and author Joel Pickford celebrating his photography exhibit "Soul Calling: A Photographic Journey Through The Hmong Diaspora." We are recruiting volunteers to help with the reception. 

Volunteer needs include:
  • 10:00 am to 12:00 pm - Reception Setup
  • 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm - Food and Beverage Service
  • 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm - Reception Takedown

ValleyPBS Phone Bank with the River Parkway Trust
Wednesday, March 6, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
We are recruiting a few volunteers to help with an upcoming ValleyPBS phone bank event. On March 6, ValleyPBS will air Ken Burns documentary The National Parks: America's Best Idea. Volunteers will help answer phones during the evening. This is an opportunity for the River Parkway Trust to receive on-air exposure to ValleyPBS viewers.

Dinner will be provided and volunteers will receive training on the evening of the event.

Parties for the Parkway Kickoff Reservation Volunteers
Thursday, March 7, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Join the River Parkway Trust in making the 2019 season of Parties for the Parkway a huge success. We are recruiting volunteers to help in the reservation room on the evening of the Kickoff Party, March 7, 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working on a computer and enjoy customer service. As a Reservation Room volunteer, you will be helping Parties guests make their reservations for all events in the 2019 season. This includes processing Parties orders through the Trust's reservation system.

All volunteers will receive specific training in advance of the Kickoff Party.

March Gardening Angels Day
Saturday, March 9, 8:15 am to 12:00 pm
Our next Gardening Angels day will be held on Saturday, March 9, from 8:15 am to 12:00 pm. Please join us for a morning in the River Center's gardens.

The Trust's Gardening Angels help with the care and maintenance of the River Center's grounds. Tasks include removing downed palm fronds, trimming trees and vines, weeding the flower beds, and taking care of other needs. Please bring water, a pair of hand clippers and gloves if you have them, and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
Fresno Philharmonic Meet the Artist Luncheon
Volunteers needed March 13 and 14
The River Parkway Trust is hosting a meet the Artist Luncheon with Philharmonic Director Rei Hotoda and Fresno composer Benjamin Boone at the River Center in partnership with the Fresno Philharmonic. We are recruiting volunteers to help with event set-up and break-down.

Volunteer Shifts
  • March 13, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm - Event Setup
  • March 14, 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm - Event Takedown

River Center Barn Dance
Sunday, March 31, 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm
We're christening the beautiful new River Center barn with a family friendly hoedown! This fun event is part of the Parties for the Parkway program that helps raise funds for the River Parkway Trust's projects and programs. Guests will enjoy folk and line dancing taught by Larry Cusick - a patient, experienced dance caller. Beer and food trucks will be on hand to satisfy appetites worked up by dancing.

We're recruiting volunteers to help with setup and takedown for this event.

  • 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm - Event Setup
  • 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm - Event Takedown
