Here's yet another twist in the process to move forward with a new extension of the Lewis S. Eaton Trail at Fresno River West.

On Monday, February 11, 2019, the Conservancy board held a special meeting to rescind their January 9, 2019 vote regarding the River West Fresno Project.

The rescission was proposed as a response to a letter from legal counsel for the San Joaquin River Access Corporation - the group that was formed in November of 2018 in order to take ownership of a former landfill near the end of Palm and Nees Avenues.

The February 27 meeting will be held at 10:30am at Fresno City Hall in the Council Chambers.

At this meeting the board will consider voting to provide direction to staff regarding the Fresno River West Project. In other words, they will reconsider providing the direction they provided in January, this time with noticing that indicates action rather than just discussion.
