The Find Your Chesapeake (FYC) 
GeoTour Kick-Off Event

Everyone is invited to join Susquehanna Heritage on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Zimmerman Center For Heritage near Wrightsville, PA for the launch of the Find Your Chesapeake GeoTour! Come on a journey and enjoy the beauty and wonder of   the  Chesapeake Bay and its rivers.

Whether you are an experienced geocacher or want to learn about geocaching. Everyone is invited to join us for the launch of the new Find Your Chesapeake GeoTour!  The Find Your Chesapeake (FYC) GeoTour will have over 60 caches within Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. A trackable geocoin will be awarded to the first 400 geocachers who find 20 geocaches on the trail, while supplies last.  Join us on June 9th  for complete trail details and to get a copy of the passport!  On the day of the event, please proceed to Klines Run Park,  coordinates given in the waypoints below,  and a shuttle bus will take you to the Zimmerman Center.


Columbia Trolley Works
On Friday, May 25th, the Columbia Trolley Works made its first voyage of the season. Visitors from near and far enjoyed their historical and informational tours of downtown Columbia. Folks were seen lining up at trolley stops in front of Columbia Crossing, Hinkle's Restaurant, and the Chamber of Commerce Visitors' Center and eight other stops throughout town. The trolley route begins at Columbia Crossing and operates on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1 1:00 to 5:00. The ride is free, donations are accepted.

Tadpole Time adds Afternoon Session

Have you heard the buzzz? Tadpole Time is expanding for the summer! In addition to our regular morning session from 10:30 am - 11:30 am, we will now offer an afternoon session from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm for June, July, August, and September. Afternoon sessions are welcome to kids 2-5 along with their older siblings entering kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade.

 

Join us this month on June 13 for Bees! Learn how these insects see, dance, and how they play an important role in our lives. We will explore pollination and create our own buzzing bees.

Sunset Yoga!

Join us for a relaxing yoga flow class at sunset with SWAY Yoga on the deck overlooking the Susquehanna River. No yoga experience necessary. Rain location is inside the building. Bring your own yoga mats, towel, and water bottle. $5.00 per participant, register online at today.
 
Art Painting Events Return
 
Enjoy an evening of painting by the river! This summer's series of Art Painting Events will all focus on the scenic Susquehanna river including river landscapes, the bridge, and masterpieces inspired by water. All classes will be taught by Master Artist Ange. All materials and instruction are provided to complete a 16" x 20" acrylic painting, along with a complimentary glass of wine. No experience necessary! Class will either take place outside on the deck or inside depending on the weather or seasonal mayflies. J une's painting will be a nature scape featuring the Veteran Memorial Bridge.
