Our first cleanup event was rained out and rescheduled for Saturday, May 1st. from 9am to 1pm, and we look forward to seeing our volunteers!
All are welcome and our volunteers are greatly appreciated. Volunteers will meet with Sean on the Clubhouse deck by 9am.
Lunch for volunteers will be served at the clubhouse about 1:15. I believe the menu includes Sloppy Joes, tater tots, homemade banana pudding, tea and water.
Please bring your own tools. All yard tools are useful including rakes, axes, limb saws, chain saws, etc. Gloves are essential. The campground will provide some tools but not gloves.
The mission will be to cleanup tent sites in areas that Sean indicates. Some will help tend the fire to burn debris, others will be loading truck and trailer with debris and many will help to collect debris.
Winter takes a toll on the grounds and TRE staff just can't do it all in addition to their regular duties. More importantly, we find that TRE members love to pitch in to help make the place inviting and useful. The day is a great way to meet new folk too. It's good work and a whole lot of fun.
