As more and more people seek access to quality behavioral healthcare, Riverside TeleCare extends our virtual services to those who can’t (or prefer not to) visit an office in person at all. And through Riverside's system of care and wide range of services, we can easily and quickly link people to other behavioral health supports if needed.
One Celebration, One Community! May 14, 2022
The Riverside Gala is our largest fundraising event of the year, with proceeds supporting our child behavioral health and family services in Cambridge, Somerville, and surrounding cities and towns. Please join us at one of several intimate cocktail parties featuring hors d’oeuvres and paired wine to be held on the evening of Saturday, May 14 in the homes and corporate spaces of our gracious hosts. A virtual program will unite all of us, whether you choose to join us in person or watch from home!

Hope for America's Mental Health Future - March 24 Webinar
As part of the Thought Leadership Series at Lesley University, Riverside CEO Marsha Medalie presents a webinar entitled America's Mental Health Crisis...and Why There is Hope for the Future on Thursday, March 24 at 7 pm. Long a strong advocate for society's support of mental health and addiction care, her talk will focus on current trends in awareness and treatment and her hope for future generations.
Welcome New Members of the Riverside Board of Directors
James (Jim) Hardeman is a licensed clinical social worker working with students on the South Shore. Jim attended his first civil rights march in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1969. His long and varied career includes four years in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, and in state government and advocacy – he worked with former President Bill Clinton to pass the Violence Against Women Bill, and he founded the South Shore Shelter for Battered Women.
Shaheen Lakhan is a physician-scientist and clinical development specialist. He serves patients as a practicing neurologist and pain specialist at Cambridge Health Alliance and Mount Auburn Hospital. He is also Chief Medical Officer at Click Therapeutics, a biotech developing therapeutics for schizophrenia, depression, addiction, and other neuropsychiatric diseases.
Hao Wang is an engineer by training and has extensive experience managing information technology across health and hospital systems, universities, and state governments. Previously Deputy Commissioner of the New York State Office of Mental Health, he is Chief Information Officer for a New York nonprofit health and human service organization. He began his career in Massachusetts and created one of the first health information exchanges in Central Mass.

A community-based non-profit organization, Riverside offers a wide range of mental healthcare, developmental and brain injury services, early childhood and youth programs, addiction treatment, trauma response, and more. And Riverside’s behavioral health consulting, screening, and suicide prevention programs for schools, communities, businesses, and organizations are extending our reach to more than 3.5 million people around the globe.
