Riverside Launches Telehealth Services

In order to increase access to care and for the convenience of our clients, this October Riverside began offering TeleBehavioral Health and TelePsychiatry services in our five Outpatient Centers. People can now meet with a Riverside clinician from the comfort of their own homes – using secure, easy-to-use video-conferencing technology for virtual therapy appointments . Results for virtual therapy have been proven to be as effective as in-person therapy. A New Integrated Behavioral Healthcare Center in South Central Massachusetts

In Spring 2020, Riverside's services in central Massachusetts will move into a new, larger Integrated Behavioral Healthcare Center on 176 West Street in Milford to address the growing crisis in access to mental health and substance use services for children and adolescents in south central Massachusetts and expand services for adults. Riverside is the regional provider of 24-hour emergency behavioral health services and the largest community-based provider of outpatient mental health and substance use services in the area. We are grateful to generous donors and friends who have made lead gifts that made it possible to acquire the new building. Fundraising for renovation costs will continue into the spring. Celebration of Success Recognizes Employers Supporting Those with Disabilities

Fifteen businesses from across the state were acknowledged for their commitment to employing those with disabilities at the Massachusetts State House last month. The Riverside Employment Collaboratives and the Institute for Community Inclusion hosted the awards luncheon, with over 250 people from businesses, partner agencies, and local government packing the Hall of Flags. The Employment Collaboratives work as liaisons between employers and agencies, streamlining the employment process. The mood was upbeat and celebratory throughout the event. The highlight was the final speech from Suzanne Roberts, who attended a 10-week CVS training program and began her official job with CVS three years ago - on Black Friday. Read more

98% Satisfaction from Those We Serve

As part of Riverside’s commitment to excellence, each year we send anonymous satisfaction surveys to everyone we serve. Not only do we ask questions about overall satisfaction, but we are particularly interested to ensure that people feel respected, no matter their background, and are active members of their treatment plan. We are very pleased to report that Riverside received a top-level satisfaction rate of 98% from survey respondents. Read more

Supporting Student-Athletes: College Sports’ Role in Mental Health

Lisa Desai, Psy.D., Director of Behavioral Health Screening & Research at Mindwise Innovations - a division of Riverside - recently moderated a TEDx Talk on “Supporting Student-Athlete Mental Health” at the 40th Annual Women Leaders in College Sports Convention. The panel brought much-needed attention to the importance of college athletics in supporting the behavioral health of student-athletes. Read more
