RESIDENTS ENCOURAGED TO USE NEW GLASS RECYCLING COLLECTION BIN NEAR CITY HALL
Residents are encouraged to use a new glass recycling collection bin that has been placed behind Riverton City Hall, accessible off of Park Avenue.

Glass recycling is not accepted in blue recycling bins. Glass should be saved and then deposited in the collection bin as frequently as needed.

Items that should not be placed in the bin include: aluminum cans, cardboard, ceramics, light bulbs, plastic bags, mirrors and window frames.
POSTERS USED TO BOOST SUPPORT FOR WORLD WAR I SHOWCASED IN EXHIBIT AT THE OLD DOME MEETING HALL
Dozens of promotional posters used to sell Liberty Bonds and boost American patriotism during World War I will be displayed at The Old Dome Meeting Hall in Riverton beginning Feb. 6 and running until Mar. 6.

The Old Dome Meeting Hall is open for public visitation Monday-Friday, noon-5 p.m.

A special open house for the exhibit will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 6-9 p.m. There is no cost for admission. To join the open house Facebook event, click here .
TIME TO CLOSE YOUR SECONDARY WATER VALVE
Riverton City will begin maintenance on the secondary water system on March 1. To ensure your irrigation system is not damaged and that your property is not flooded, secondary water connection valves should be turned off prior to that date. The valves are located in the green secondary water box, most likely in your front yard.

WHY WE WALKED
Many in the Riverton community joined together on Saturday, Feb. 2 to participate in the HOPE Walk for Suicide Prevention. Hundreds walked from Riverton High School to Spirit Corner to show their support for prevention and awareness.

Riverton City appreciates all those who participated in the event and recognizes the Riverton High School HOPE Squad for the tremendous work they do. The city also appreciates Intermountain Riverton Hospital for their generous and continued support of the event.

Riverton City is looking for individuals to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at city council meetings during 2019. Those who lead the pledge will have an opportunity to introduce themselves, as well as any organization they represent, to the council. Trans-Jordan Landfill Disposal Vouchers Available
Disposal vouchers for the Trans-Jordan Landfill are available at the Riverton City Utility Billing Office at 12830 S Redwood Road in Riverton. The vouchers will be available until June 30, 2019. Limit of two per household.
