A Note From Dr. Compton
Dear Lions,

It's hard to believe that we're down to the final five days before spring break. Spring Break is April 15 through April 19th and students will return on Monday, April 22.

As we head into Spring Break, I wanted to take this opportunity to simply say "thank you."

Thank you Pride for coming out in full force like you all did over these past two weeks. We've had some outstanding events and spirit days, and you all showed everyone why our Pride is Powerful.

Thank you parents for believing in our school and for believing in what we're trying to achieve. Parents, you all should be proud of how well you all "carry the banner" for Riverwalk Academy.

Thank you teachers and staff on providing 10 out of 10 days for each of our students. Each day with our students is a gift; it's something they'll never get back. Thank you for digging down deep to find the energy and strength to provide each child with the experience they deserve.

Students , thank you for the way many of you try to conduct yourselves. You're Positive, A ct Responsibly, make W ise Choices, and you exercise S elf Control.

As we head into spring break, I hope each of you enjoy the time with each other. I hope you can find time to disconnect, relax and re-energize.

Let's make this a great week, Lions!

The Riverwalk Academy Pride Did It Again
Strikers was blown away with how many Riverwalk Academy families came to Sunday's spirit event. We had over 120 family members on 28 separate lanes. Pride, thank you!
Where's Rivers
Rivers recently visited the Dead Sea, in Jordan, with Mr. Ogburn. If you'd like to take Rivers with you on an upcoming adventure, have your child talk to his/her teacher. Each class has a Rivers to share. When we return from Spring Break, Where's Rivers will have a live website where we can track his adventures.
2019 - 2020 School Calendar
On behalf of the calendar committee, we appreciated all the feedback you provided on the school calendar. The 2019 - 2020 has been approved by the school board. Click the image for a larger view.

Check out Riverwalk Academy's online art gallery at  Artsonia . Artsonia is the World's Largest Student Art Museum. Yet it's so much more than that! It's a free, safe, educational program designed to connect parents and families with their child's creative activities at school.
